Matagi Gunner Vol. 8!

Matagi Gunner volume 8 is now out in Japan! I am specially proud of this volume, I think the front cover is the best one I have drawn and colored so far. Also, the story in this volume takes Yamano and the rest of the Matagi Gunner team to Nashville, TN, in the U.S.A. where I lived for about 5 years. It is a challenge to draw the city of Nashville because my assistants are usually the ones in charge of doing that and they are all Japanese and are not that familiar with Nashville and American architecture and landscapes. Working on some of those chapters requires a lot of extra research and gathering of photos and references on my part but the final results have been great so far and even some Japanese readers have made comments on SNS about how realistic the foreign settings look. I am currently drawing the last chapters of volume 9 and I think I will soon start working on the covers for it as well so watch out for volume 9 in about 3 months!
